Oh, jeez. First of all, I love the way you just look at traditional coloring norms and sort of toss them out the window; it sets the mood so well and doesn't feel forced at all. Like, we know how the characters look realistically, now screw that for some stylized feelings in lighting. I love how you've portrayed both of them-- Leon has issues, yeah, but right now he'd rather wallow in self pity than solve them. And Elle's frustration at him feels so real, even though the fact that she just invalidated his trauma makes it clear why he's hurt so deeply. He's tired of people not understanding him, but Elle is tired of him being so cryptic and giving up on relationships, (which I've admittedly done also) and blames his lack of communication. But he doesn't seem to have any healthy relationships to look to in order to figure this out, and thinks that this is the norm, but it's just perpetuating a cycle. I want to punch both of them and also hug them and give them therapy. maybe not all at once, or in that order

Holy shit there is so much to unpack here. I love this. They both have good points but neither are blameless in this situation either and just ahhhhh look at these three dimensions babies!!
