why is he bald? is he allergic to his bedding? (some rats are)

Thanks! No he isn't allergic, he's a rex rat. He's supposed to have curly hair, but he is going bald.
If you mate two rex rats the babies will be bald. So maybe Snapes daddy was half rex or something...
