This is a design that I did for a local costume shop that also sells swords, collectibles, and smokers' accessories, among other things. I may be able to use it in the future, so I'm reserving all rights to it.

I was talking with the guy at Vortex Graphics, a screenprinting company that will soon be doing up T-shirts for BNN. He said that the costume shop owner had come to him for a design: a magician pulling a bong out of a hat. He gave Vortex Guy a clipart of a magician and basically said, here, Photoshop the arm on this guy so he's pulling a bong out of the hat.

Well, Vortex Guy thought we could do better than that and suggested that I come up with an alternative. So I drew this up in Flash and ~Novalyyn did a few of her own. The idea was to give the costume shop owner what he wanted and then say, "Here's something a little different, if you're interested." More often than not, people love the alternative designs and decide to switch.

Unfortunately the costume shop owner had his heart set on his idea and we missed out. But we're sort of teaming up with Vortex to catch more of these opportunities. And who knows, perhaps at some point he'll reconsider and I'll be able to make use of it after all.
