Description

Well, I managed to make this with Fireworks.

It's a topographical map of Fantaji!

As you can see, a small portion of it is snow-bound land. About one-fourth of the region is desert/wasteland, and the rest is grasslands.

The transparent white marks are routes, the yellowish ones are towns and cities, and the purplish ones are natural landmarks, like Moist Cave and Mt. Chronocosmo.

All mountainous areas and the paths that the lava from Forged Tunnel, Mt. Fiery, and Darkleaf Forest are also shown.

A : Sweetsing Town
- A quaint town on Fantaji's eastern reaches. Its area is revered as the homeland of a great hero from long ago. Niens's family moved here a few years back. It's also where Sifo was born.

B : Grodale Town
- A nice little town just west of Sweetsing. It houses a Pokémon Trainer School, where people learn how to be good and efficient Trainers. Apparently, Vence IV didn't go here.

C : Topridge City
- Back in the days, gold was dug up here, as well as Jirachi's Wishing Well. Even now, the sweat of the brow is evident with its citizens. Those aiming for the Pokémon League Challenge can meet Duster, a Gym Leader who uses Ground Pokémon.

D : Coolgale Town
- This meadowy town gathers energy using windmills. Still standing strong is the Phoenix Roost, where Ho-oh lives. Some say that Shaymin lurks in the tall grass. Vence Bladegriff III, the League Coordinator, often comes to his Pokémon Fan Club to hold discussions. Balthier, a user of Flying Pokémon, is the Gym Leader here.

E : Amethorn City
- Quite an advanced city, with big plasma TV screens playing adverts and a bustling Department Store. For cycling enthusiasts, there's a Bike Shop here, too. Regice's abode, the Frostgolem Chamber, is well guarded here. The Gym Leader here is Raiden, who uses Poison Pokémon.

F : Sootdust Town
- Still sticking to the roots, Sootdust grows crops that can handle ashy and arid conditions. There's also the Stonegolem Chamber (where Regirock rests) and a Day-Care.

G : Forgenta City
- This city actually reaches out to the gulf, its harbor always at its busiest. One may find the Steelgolem Chamber here, too. Challengers often face Gym Leader Zexion and his Psychic Pokémon.

H : Eternalu Gulch
- A dusty old town very much like Sootdust. This is where Sandy was born, and where she met her Cubone.

I : Tropsid Town
- A tropical southern town, complete with a white sandy beach and invigorating fruit growing around--not to mention a Game Corner. The Soul Pool, home of Mesprit, rests in this town. You can expect a lot of athletic types to have grow up here. One such man, Waluigi, is a Gym Leader here who uses Dark-types.

J : Frigirene Town
- Part of the snowy northern region. The city's well prepared for the cold, strewn with lampposts and brick houses. Vence III often retreats here with his Bonsly. Also here are twin Gym Leaders, the Ice Climbers, who obviously have Ice Pokémon.

K : Doraku City
- A desert city that first thrived from a spring of water found deep underground. It's bustled into a true jewel of the desert. Living here is Cloud, a Gym Leader that uses Dragon-types.

L : Greatroost Town
- Though big and thriving, this city seems too tranquil to call a city. The nice clean air up here--said to be from Rayquaza's and Mew's powers--is perfect for the sick to come and recover. There's also a Contest Hall here. Niens's family used to live here until they moved. His friend here, Luke, became a Bug-specializing Gym Leader.

M : Pokémon League
- The goal of just about every Pokémon Trainer in Fantaji. If one can clear through the Elite Four, he or she just might be named Fantaji's champion. The Elite Four consists of Riku (who uses Fighting Pokémon), Peach (using Water Pokémon), Prof. Layton (with Ghost Pokémon), and Solid Snake (with Steel Pokémon).

N : Crystside
- A large metropolis that coexists with the Wisp Forest nearby. In the southern area of the city is the Palace of Cycles, a shrine built to honor Vivikari and Necrades.

a : Hero's Wall
- A secret relic hidden in the greenery behind Sweetsing Town. 1200 years ago, as Lunae died from the climatic battle, his comrades left behind here a record of the great war that took place. It's here that Lunae's Gallade went into a deep sleep, awaiting his master's return. There also seems to be a small socket that something goes into...

b : Topridge Woods
- The forest between Grodale Town and Topridge City. Not much to say here. This is where Niens first found Noctowl (a Hoothoot at the time), and had a run-in with Team Dread.

c : Moist Cave
- The ground seems to always be covered in an inch of water. Deep within here is a shrine built to Kyogre, who is said to live somewhere deep below.

d : Mt. Thunder
- A mountain towering over Amethorn City. The air above it is crackling with an electromagnetic barrier. One can't just fly to the top, that's for sure. Of course, for Zapdos, this mountain's guardian, it's no problem. Niens and Raiden ran into Dimentio here. It's also where Niens met his Surfing Pikachu.

e : Mt. Fiery and Burning Fields
- An inactive volcano and a savanna below. Within the volcano's hearth is said to be Moltres, and Entei was said to have roamed the savanna. Even then, a stream of lava flows from the volcano's side.

f : Mind Pool
- Home of Uxie, sleeping deep within the waters.

g : Reaper Canyon
- Called so because not many have come out alive. In truth, the Giratina that lives here defends the canyon's hidden oasis, which acts as a gateway to the Spirit World, where excess dark energies are trapped. Niens got turned into a Feynd here, and afterwards joined with Marowak.

h : Northwind Fields
- The savanna of purest wind and water, just north of Tropsid Town. Suicune's power has made the gales that blow through clean and sweet, and the waters pure and crystal-clear.

i : Eon Island
- A secret island, hidden by a mirage. The two embodiments of the Soul Dew, Latias and Latios, live here in peace.

j : Royal Sea Palace
- A great and mighty palace sticking out from the Royal Sea. Though in ruins, Manaphy lives here, defending the Soul Dew for Latias and Latios.

k : Arid Cave
- Amongst the Royal Sea, this mountain cavern sticks out. The inside is coursing with magma, giving a rather dry, hot feel to it. Definitely a fitting home for Groudon.

l : Whirling Trench
- A stone spire emerging from a great maelstrom. It's here that the mighty Lugia slumbers. This sleep can be broken by gathering Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres here.

m : Chrono Forest
- The frosty forest near Frigirene Town. Even in this temperature, the flowers and trees still grow, thanks to Celebi's power placed on them. Also within is the Body Pool, home of Azelf.

n : Mt. Freeze
- The great icy mountain looming over Frigirene. This is the sacred home of Articuno. The Ice Climbers often scale this mountain, trying to beat their record. Here, Niens rescued Eclipse and Sunray from the Kleptopede's clutches.

o : Lightning Fields
- A savanna bordering the desert areas. It's always storming, it seems, and boulders often roll down from Mt. Fiery to here. Raikou is said to race through this land.

p : Meteor Gorge
- This is where a meteor carrying Deoxys landed. People in Doraku often come to see the meteor still in it, as it gives off a strange and euphoric aurora.

q : Grandgolem Palace
- A giant structure laced with stone, ice, and metal, built by the three golems themselves. It is here that Regigigas, the land shifter, sleeps.

r : Forged Tunnel
- This magmatic tunnel can't be traversed from above, because the outside is all-metal, and add that to the heat...Anyway, Heatran makes its home here.

s : Mt. Chronocosmo
- Truly a mystery among mountains in Fantaji. Its gravitational field is completely off, inhibiting the ability to fly and jump around it. Dialga and Palkia reside here in their own spaces, only crossing over when the time calls for it.

t : Strato Peak
- The highest peak around Greatroost Town. Rayquaza, the master over Kyogre and Groudon, lives high up here.

u : Quiet Meadow
- Within this cavern blooms a fragrant garden, full of trees, flowers, and streams. Mew is said to play here.

v : Darkleaf Forest
- Truly a haunting place in Fantaji. Legend has it that the dark mages lived here, practicing their wicked magic. That could be why the Pokémon here are more susceptible to roughing it up.

w : Team Dread HQ
- The headquarters for Team Dread, led by Sunez McGotcha. It was built upon the remains of the dark mages' fortress.

x : Scar of the Fallen
- Within the Land of Beginning is this horrendous gorge. A Moon Soldier created by the dark mages fell from the moon down to here.

y : Victory Road
- The cavern that leads to the Pokémon League. Many advanced Trainers come here to train.

z : Wisp Forest
- The forest just near Crystside. It gives quite an ethereal vibe. If one's emotions get out of hand, they just might become a Pokémon...so legend says. The Spirit Tribe--which Lock and Pyrefly are from--resides here.

What a coincidence! I came up with a planet named Fantaji for my comics! I came up with that term by combining serveral Japanese words in Google Translate. It befuddles me, really.

Oh it's OK, just warning you because people might accuse you of copying, but I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

Well, I still blame the fact that I made the routes all straight.

Seeing that Isshu has rounded and diagonal routes, I oughta update Fantaji's layout with that in mind.

Well I know it has diagonal routes, but I haven't seen any rounded ones.

Actually, the pokemon league of Isshu is in the top right of the map.

Oh.

...The routes encircling that round place in the center of Isshu, then.

Nice, man. That must have taken some good time and thought. All the books I've seen that have maps behind the covers come from great authors.

Well, Fantaji isn't meant to be official, anyway.
Not like Chuten. [link]

It even has what would be Mexico, a lake where lake Michigan would be, a part jutting out that looks like Florida...The gray part even makes an outline resembling a border between Mexico and Texas. And islands where cuba should be.

...Ok, I'm starting to think you did this on purpose.
