"Hero" by AIK was obviously the inspiration for this picture.

In this is some of the biggest heroes in my book.

<Mario and Luigi> No matter what the situation, each bro has managed to get through it well. And together, they form one of the greatest tag teams ever. Their bonds can never be severed, no matter what. With bravery, skill, humble hearts, and albeit a witty sense of humor, the Mario brothers can call themselves true heroes.
<Lucas> He's been through more most would think. Losing his mother Hinawa and his twin brother Claus, this kid learned to grow strong through any hardship. As such, he's made it through all the trials that faced him and restored his world to peace.
<Mewtwo> At first, Mewtwo was confused. That confusion took him past the edge, and he couldn't control his own rage. But, he eventually saw the good in other's hearts, and his own heart managed to be more influenced to good rather than evil. So he's NOT a Pokémon villain, you nubs. He's an archangel (a kind of unknown mysterious hero).
<Link> This Wind Waker incarnation is a bit of a bonehead, true. He seems to show terrible attention skills. However, he shows a steadfast nature, and keeps on going for it, whatever the situation.
<Fox> Losing his father was the first step on his destined path. His bravery saw him through as he fought his way through many obstacles to stop the threats that terrorize the Lylat System. It was also his combined traits of courage, skill, and keen memory that helped him save Dinosaur Planet from destruction.
<Snake> Normally, he just follows his survival instincts--just how to cheat death in battle. However, finding new friends at Shadow Moses Island--Meryl and Otacon--helped him open up to other people, and to shake off the many regrets that weighed him down. He doesn't fall victim to attempting to "follow his genes' destiny" and lives for people.
<Lucario> Normally carrying the attitude of a lone wolf, Lucario wasn't at first aware of Sir Aaron's developed friendship with him. He wasn't even going to after Aaron sealed him into his staff. But, by going through the trials that faced him and Ash, he was able to understand human compassion, and eventually, he was able to understand Sir Aaron completely. He watches over us with Sir Aaron to this day...(well, you know what I mean)
<Sora> Typically a happy-go-lucky kid. But, when something injust is going on, Sora goes hothead and jumps in to right the wrongs. This good nature of his led him through the ordeals in many worlds, and helped him clear out the evils that threaten the realm of light. So, Sora's innocent-child personality is a good thing, really.
<Riku> Basically the super-cool can-handle-anything kid at Destiny Islands. However, he submitted to darkness when he strived to see other worlds. It was this darkness that let Maleficient and Ansem (I mean, Xehanort) manipulate Riku into thinking that he was playing the hero role by defying Sora. Even then, his friendship with Sora prevailed in the end. He even managed to use his dark powers for good and not evil. Anyone that can manage that is a true hero in my book.

...These guys have what it takes after all, right?
I think this is my best drawing of Fox, Snake, Sora, and Riku yet. Most accurate, I should say (Fox is in Smash Bros. Brawl style).
