Contest Entry for Koel111

No lineart, all digital painting. 3-4 layers. Unknown hours. Didn't even use a sketch, except for the dragons later on. Wanted to try something different and so i did. Hope you like it!

(In case you think that the gate is leaning oddly, that's half intended and half messed up... also I just realized that I made an exception from my no-wof rule again)

So the task was to draw one (or both) of her characters interacting with some kind of art dated before 1800. With it's construction finished in 1791 the Brandenburger Tor narrowly fits into that. (Yes architecture can also be art). I chose it because I never really draw any kind of buildings (mainly because I'm not good at it; all that straight lines..uh ._."), and just simply choosing some regular art piece to mess around with somehow didn't catch my interest. So Gate it is. "But Umunschaas! There are totally things missing from it!" - Yes indeed, but it's clearly not standing in Berlin anymore either no?

My idea for this came from me really liking multiverses and thus I also decided for indirectly involving one of my own characters.

So the following happened; one slightly drunk Jamanjefe (toyhou.se/9913680.jamanjefe ) went through a mirror. Not really aiming for a specific world he ended up in our world... post-apocalyptic though. Swaying around he came across the gate and probably thought something along the lines of: "Ooooh big hole-house. How stupid. I want it.". Thus he opened up a large hole in the world where the gate stands(stood) and immediately passed out from it. The hole collapsed and took the gate with it, only leaving the quadriga behind. Transporting large things between worlds isn't exactly recommended, and the circumstances weren't exactly ideal either. Thus the gate also got shrunk (normal height is around 20m I think) and randomly dropped in some world, where it later was found by Dalia and Vanira. So this picture is Dalia climbing around happily on her new find and Vanira dozing in the shadow of the gate and a tree that got almost crushed by the gates sudden arrival.
