Dan screamed, barely managing to dive out of the way of his roommate's sandal-clad feet, as she walked through their apartment. Anna had gotten off of work much later than normal, and after a hard day's work, she just wanted to get to her room and go to bed. Since Dan usually had to wake up early, she didn't bother turning the lights on, she could navigate the place without it, and the extra light would have kept Dan awake. Little did she know that if she turned the lights on, she might be able to see her tiny roommate trying to avoid her massive sandals as she made her way through their home.--------
Taking a shot at digital art for the first time in several years, and considering doing it more regularly.Β The lighting for this image was not originally my intent, but after I finished, I liked how ominous the darkness made everything, the gravity of the situation was much more tangible. Even Anna's right foot being obscured has a looming, lurking-in-the-shadows vibe that I kind of like, and the shadow of her left foot pushes that point that much further.
