History
Sauda was born ten minutes after her twin brother, Sidqi. Under normal circumstances in the Mbogo Pride, that would not bar her from the throne. The Mbogo Pride valued it's lionesses and preferred a Queen. Her problem came when her mother died shortly after her own birth, for her highborn father was left in the position of Regent, and he wanted a male heir.

Sauda made a name for herself in the Hunt, and by the time she found a handsome rogue to take as a mate, Kijana had wed his incompetent betrothed who had already proved herself incapable of bearing cubs. Sauda, instead, had a litter of four lionesses. While she planned with the leaders of the Hunt to remove Sidqi, the King instead found a way to remove her daughters with a betrothal to Princes of the Ndona Pride.
