History
Adeola is the firstborn of her Pride Leader's cubs, but she remains his hair for scant months. Her younger brother is given the title the moment he is born. It was expected by her Pride, and no one noticed the young lioness quietly contemplating her situation. She finds it unfair, but it is the way things are, and so she keeps her mouth closed and tries to become closer to her brother. It is not uncommon for a sister of the King to be named Lead Hunter, and she is by far the best hunter out of their siblings.
Her life jolts to a stop when their father begins to seek a mate for her brother. He speaks with many Prides, seeking alliances, but her brother favors a golden lioness from one of the larger rogues Prides. She is the daughter of their Pride Leader, and Ade is pleased with the choice, for she cannot hunt as well as Ade herself. When her father asks for the princess to be wed to his heir, they demand Ade in exchange. She will become their queen one day, and this pleases her father - he thinks it will please her too. He announces it to her without having asked her permission, and while her brother is thrilled, Ade's life falls from in front of her paws.
With her father forbidding her to refuse, Ade is left without a choice. The safety of a Pride will always come before the life of a rogue. Her father again shows that she means less to him than her brother, simply because of her gender. And her brother sees no problem with this, despite his promises to her. He has what he wants. But while Ade is being introduce to her new Pride, one of her future sisters-in-law mentions that her father is sending her to the Pridelands, where King Mohatu is seeking a mate, after his betrothal was broken.
Ade leaves that night, having said farewell to no one. Her father waits for many days, but she does not return. Eventually, another of her sisters is traded in her place. For Ade's part, after a long trek, she ends up in the Pridelands. She is presented to the king, half-starved and sand matting her pelt, but he greets her as kindly as he did any of the princesses courting him. They soon become inseparable despite the substantial age difference. He is kinder to her than any male has ever been, and her spirit impresses him. She is not like the delicate princesses that the other Prides have sent.
The Pride is baffled when he selects her over the others. She is no beauty, aside from her pale pelt; no diplomat, although she is kind to even the smallest of Prides; and many of the other princesses would have been a wiser choice. For her part, Ade suspected that Mohatu chose her because of his superstitions. The diamond on her head is unique, and although she loves him, she doesn't see how he could love her.
Still, she is a good queen, soon proving to be the best hunter in the Pride. Eventually, she births twins, and allows Mohatu to name them. Uru and Jahara - for their mother's diamond, he says. She is amazed when Mohatu names Uru his heir. For all their words, she never believed that the Pride values female heirs as much as males. Fari was one of three sisters, Safara her mother's sole cub, and Mohatu's sister had been set aside for the throne.

I think she is quite beautiful enough, but poor lass. At least there are some males who will be kind, but I am guessing that she never has relations with her old pride.

When her brother heard that a white lioness had wed Mohatu, he knew it had to be her, but by then everything had been settled down with his mate and he didn't care. I'd like to think that Mohatu would have been furious if he turned up and demanded her back.
Her old Pride (and most rogue prides) treat females much better than the northerners do. While they're treated like property, they aren't mistreated. Her father would never have bartered her off to the other Pride if he thought they would harm her.
She's an interesting contrast to Urbi, I think, and a lot of lionesses in the fandom, who accept their fate for the good of everyone else.
