Thanks for the post! Deep One is a generic Lovecraft euphemism in this case, not a literal iteration. I read the same HPL as everyone else. Were I doing that, I would likely have a rank of them emerging from the roiling surf under moonlight, hungry for mayhem. As for Hastur, I migrated him from the void of space to seaside for scale and context. Hope that helps assuage any potential confusion!Β

I thought deep ones were those semi-humanoids of Shadow over Innsmouth, but this thing is fucking scary and repulsive. If I was in that ship I'd wish I'd die before feeling that approaching, much less seing it :s
