Last night's drawing. If you know your comics at all you know Big John Buscema regularly worked miracles on the page. Elegant, powerful, indelible imagery the devout always mention when talking about the GOATs. His cover for issue #4 for the Silver Surfer series c 1970 Thor vs Surfer is a classic among classics, a true masterpiece. Powerful dramatic diagonals, energetic poses, it had it all. Comic covers have upside and downside to their dimension and orientation so I wondered what happens to the story if we keyframe it to a 16:9 aspect ratio. Now, I'm no Big John let's be fucking totally clear but thought in tribute to the master what about stretching out the moment a bit and see what we end up with, while keeping the spirit of the original. If you feel It's sacrilege that's yours to feel but I hope Big John would appreciate the homage.
