I feel like there is an issue with the silhouette on this, John. Particularly Thor. Perhaps if the foreshortening on the right arm were not so smashed and his entire body was turned towards us more to accentuate the hammer swing it would have more impact, such as in the original Buscema version. Thoughts?

Valid point you're correct on that and I did fiddle with position on the swing but to be honest I despise the original pose. It throws me a bit too because I love Big John's work and always have but that Thor's torsion is strange and the anatomy is wobbly, not to mention the Surfer looks atrophied and bizarre. I played conservative on the location of Mjolnir and my client was really happy with the pose during the work in progress phase. That and the staging in the original has a very narrow field of view and a single plane of action. I wanted to move the camera to a slightly more dynamic position with standard lens look and stay classic and conservative in composition.

I wish that Marvel & DC would start making major movies in animation instead of going for "real actors"....something on the same level of quality as in the actual comic books....
