WIP of Xenomorph head study. Just fuddling around trying a few things here and there. Will likely migrate the lessons I learned here to another more interesting piece.Related content

Omg, I was drawing a xenomorph and searched it on the Internet to see its design and I thought this was NOT even a drawing! Best xenomorph drawing ever!

I have always loved the design of the alien.Β I've seen countless renderings and very few seem to capture it properly; sometimes awkward or over-designed.Β You nailed it.Β This is perfect.Β One of the best I've ever seen.

LOVE that you incorporated the original 'skull' design under the dome of it's head like in the first movie. This is lovely......just wish it was bigger and I'd put it on my bedroom wall.

That's cause their genitals grew legs and ran around face-raping astronauts. 
Honestly, the films just invent a new xeno form to spice things up whenever they want without much consideration for building a coherent picture of xeno biology.

can I inquire as to what program(s) you used to complete this? and how on earth did you find such lovely textures, or did you texture it by scratch?
this "wip" is an absolutely fantastic piece. I think the only thing that might slightly be off is the amount of drool? those things are like a waterfall from what I've seen. pff, but it takes nothing away from the work, and you likely considered that already anyways

It's more about finding a consensus on essential design elements and bringing them all together. The Xenomorph is such a bold and iconic open-source design - and because of that we've seen so many outstanding variants and permutations of the basic formula - I'm looking to find a best of solution made up of all the cool parts of each of those iterations

Aww the Xenomorphs the yoshi of the stars with so many tubes and armor looking shells it's hard believe they're not a tech based species.
