I really like i and i've always loved a good checker board pattern. I really like how you shaded each tile, it shows good technique. the swirl just makes it perfect. You should really keep doing these because I know I enjoy them and I know many other people do as well. My two favorite colors have always been black and white but I would be interested to see another color checker board. I think it would look cool and fun. You could even do it rainbow, I'm sure other people would enjoy it as well. I think you did a really good job.

The way you did this is just awesome. Again, I reeeeally like how you somehow got it to appear bowl shaped, and it's just amazing. It's kind of soothing, actually, because it's twirled too. I feel like my mind is trying to figure out how this works without me even knowing it, just subconsciously. I know I commented already, but you really deserve getting critiques on this, too. I gave you 5 stars for vision, because I don't think anyone would have thought to do this. 4 on originality, though, because the black and white vortex thing is kind of super common. 5 for technique, because again, it looks amazing. I can't even begin to imagine how much time and effort you put into this, which is also why you get a 5 for impact because of the whole trying to figure out how it works thing. Great piece of work! Keep it up!!

This is just so hypnotiseing to look at, it feels like its moving! Like if i look at it long enough or move around when I look at it, it moves. O-o Or is it animated to do that.

Its like an optical illusion, when you have the colored swirled like this, it seems to move. It's all just a though of mind, you dont really concentrate on it moving, just stare at it relaxed!~ It seems to be moving as an illusion!

Well yes, I assumed that's what people were talking about when they said it moved. I am perfectly aware of how optical illusions work but I simply just don't see it. The pattern was more to resemble of marble floor.
I've only made 1 picture that was an optical illusion and I can see moving and that one i made in 5 minutes and never really cared much for it.Β
Maybe because of the type of optical illusion it is and the fact that I made it, makes it so I am unable to see the movement. After all, an optical illusion is the brain filling in what we are seeing from past experiences.Β

I have been staring at this for a while trying to decide if I want to buy it or not. Β I am fairly new to using any form of bases since I try to draw over them instead of using the line art provided. If I buy them though I am sure these will work well

I love those shadows contrasting the original black and white. it's a nice pattern, remembers me the beetlejuice movie, rest room.

Oooo, I have always loved optical illusion sort-of things, except for the fact that my eyes die every time I look at something like this... But that's ok! Great job though, I don't think I would have the patience/ability to do something like this. Pretty neat. Hmm... It looks like it's doing what it should be, all optical and stuff, so I don't think I can help you with anything.
