yeah, and some don't work at all... I tried the other day to tweak one of DG's pieces and it just would not work at all... would not even render right with the original params... never did find out why

I think it was called Egg Pod... looks like the weird egg things from Aliens but in blue instead of green... Apofun did a tweak of it, so evidently whatever issue I'm having must be me... but when I tried rendering it in the main window, I got nothing but white, and in the navi it came up nothing but black...

most of his are ok, but once in a while I get one that seems as if the lighting is weird and won't let me fix it ro change it... one I tweaked of his I couldn't get this bright patch of light out of the BG, had to copy down all the params (formulas. variables, julia settings and everything) onto paper, then re-create it because it was the only way I could fix the lights.
I don't know why it happens...

Strange , I get some like it is so dark you can barely see what your doing in the Navi

yeah, but usually, if you adjust the lights or the depth or ambient lights, you can see it in navi... this one it didn't matter what I did, it just stayed black, even loading in a different color set didn't fix it

I know that is the same with one of the old parms from an older version I tried everything and it was still so dark

yeah, once in a whole you run into those... what I have done recently is to open MB and load the params that are causing trouble, then open MB again, and use copy/paste to copy over the variable in the formulas... that way you get all the right formulas and variables, but you still have the default lights and colors and fog and such... then at least you can tell if its the parameters themselves or just some weird lighting problem, and its far easier than writing everything down on paper to recreate someone's params (which was what i did the first time I had that problem)

well, I mean, its a real pain to copy all the parameter info to paper...the typing it back in isn't that bad... but I find it even easier to just open MB twice and copy/paste from one to the other
