Uh huh and that is a for a 2400 sized render ha ha , it is up now I can't have my computer running that long my dad will have my head for it

I render 6000x4000 0r if it won't take too long 12000x8000 then reduce to 3000x2000.

12000x8000 is really huge and scale down so much may have disadvantages
I prefer render to double size, 3X just in few special cases

But i have a little trick to scale down neat:
1px (2px if i have to scale from 4800x3600 to 1600x1299 ) Gaussian blur on the render before scale down, it so simple but often does miracles

Result is much more clean and sharper (yes that blur on the original make sharper the scaled down version ) then normal down-scaling,
I even made a little filter for Gimp - Gmic to automatize the process that anyway is very quick ( 1 blur, 2 scale down, optionally 3, a very slight sharpening)

I only do it that size if it produces a clean image. I prefer not to post process to reduce noise.
