No one is gonna mistake Bugs Bunny for an actual rabbit, or Mega-Man for an actual person because of how different they look from the real thing for example.

Really, the only piece of evidence suggesting that Frisk is a child...is Frisk wearing a striped shirt.
Monster children wear striped shirts. Naturally, they think that anyone, human or monster, who wears a striped shirt is a child as well. Not all humans who wear striped shirts are children; in Undertale OR real life.
If you headcanon Frisk as a child, fine. Cool. Dandy. But there's no real, hard evidence to back your claim.

Also literally all the evidence points toward frisk being a child. Like her/him being referred to as child by Toriel, kiddo by Sans, and Undyne has even called them squirt before. This ship is still morally wrong.

Height doesn't determine age. You can have an 18 year old be taller than, say, a 30 year old, for example.
And yeah, it can be set in stone that Kris is older than Frisk, but that still doesn't tell us for certain how old either of them are.

for frans to be acceptable, frisk would need to be 18-years-old
and kris would need to be atleast 19 (which again, i doubt bc kris is still in school and normally giant growth spans dont happen in 1 year + asriel went to college lol)
so going by the "frans is okay! frisk's age is not set in stone!" logic, frisk is a very very short, same-height-as-that-of-a-child, 18-years-old, who becomes a 19-year-old still in school

Bear in mind who else is the same height as Frisk in Undertale; Sans himself. Since Sans does NOT wear stripes, we can tell immediately he's not a child; despite him being the same height as at least one confirmed child.
Either way, though, Toby Fox has left these sorts of things ambiguous for a reason. If you see Frisk as a kid, you see Frisk as a kid. If not, then no.

Ugh. Shipping wars are a huge problem in this fandom aren't they? I'm reading some comments below and holy shit people! All this arguing over pedophilia and shit over fictional characters! Frisk and sans' age are never precisely given. I imagine sans to be anywhere between 20 to 24 years of age. I also think of frisk to be a female who can be anywhere from 8 years old to 12 years old. However, I mostly ship frans in alternate universes where Frisk is at least 16. I believe frans is a canon ship in flowerfell, for instance. There's an alternate ending where they have twins. Are you going to explain how that's pedophilia then? Cuz I saw that argument before.Β
And if the argument is about bumping up their age, this is an alternate universe. I can see the argument being fine with undertale. But for it's Aus, it's dumb. Transformers, for instance, has many different universes where the main characters are different ages. Why is it so different when that universe is fan made as opposed to canon?Β

And also, I want to say that, we can't change other people's ships, only because we don't like them. I ship Sans x Frisk in other AUs as well, but Frisk has the player's age, so if someone is 20 year old for example, I'm ok with frans shipping in Undertale too. People are different, aren't they? We must judge noone from their believes. Shipping is a personal thema.

And I can see that to. Most people like to see frisk being a child quite literally, and that's perfectly okay. But not everybody is going to see it that way. I mean, I'm an adult and my cousin and other relatives who are much older than me call me a child or even kid from time to time. I'm naturally matured, but since I'm much younger, I'm technically a kid compared to them, and that's how I look at it with Frans. ( I also find Toriel to be to old for sans, in my mind she's in her forties and sans in his twenties. But both are also monsters so most people seem to think of it differently)Β
I just like the freedom of imagination with the characters because I like child frisk in certain moments, and adult frisk in others.Β
