Did I ever mention that I'm making a RWBY OC team? This is Bonnie Bajada; she's not the leader of the team but she's the first one I designed. Information taken from my tumblr:
"Bonnie Bajada (coming from the flower bluebonnet), 16 but soon to be 17, a reindeer Faunus.
Her weapon is Plasma Luxca, a halberd (right) that folds/splits into a railgun, which fires bolts of dust (in cartridges) from a medium to long range. She usually stores the weapon in its railgun mode on the belt on her back.
Her semblance is an air blast ability that she can use to propel herself, her allies, and her weapon for more speed and momentum. She can also use it in mid air to jump higher. It can deflect slow-moving projectiles, but nothing as fast as bullets, nothing too large, and nothing at all if she can’t see it coming.
Bonnie isn’t a front-line fighter and can’t usually deal a lot of damage on her own, nor can she take it, especially physical damage (she has a bit better resistance to dust attacks). So, she generally plays the role of scout or decoy, and supports her team mates.
She tends to be very accepting and forgiving of people’s misgivings against her, but she’ll be much more wary of someone who’s targeted her team or any innocent person. Bonnie very often acts on pure emotions and has a hard time controlling them - but she has a pretty good intuition. She can make decisions very quickly - this is sometimes good, sometimes not, but in battle it’s generally a help, not a hindrance. Bonnie has a kind and heroic heart; she’d go out of her way at almost any time to help someone in trouble. She has a hard time seeing the other side of arguments, and she’ll get pretty heated and involved in debates; she gives everything 100% and sets high goals, even if it’s something she’s not very good at."
Hope you enjoy! Any critiques are welcome as I develop my characters. Is her semblance too close to Ruby's (or any canon character's)? Is it too general or overpowered? Is her weapon plausible? Is the design ok?
