That is really very emotional. The empty eye-sockets emphasizes the emptiness in his soul. The only thing he has left here is the flowers he makes for Tania. His body is just, literally a shell, housing only that one hope.

He doesn't not like them, he just isn't to keen on them, because they are a new thing and he probably thinks they are unnatural. His unwillingness to kill one shows that he didn't hate them.

Ah man, sure brings back those tears i shed during the last 4 minutes of the movie when i watched it in the theater.
Seeing him struggling to get the flower right... And when he did it and the movie fades out.
Man was that a strong scene.
But still i have splitted thoughts about a sequel to this movie...
Oh, and i like you made the picture a little "dirty" so it goes along with me movie as well XD

That bit, and the part where Wikus suddenly decides to distract MNU so Chris can get away, were like the defining moments of the movie. In the last five minutes.

The very very ending where it showed Wikus making the metal flower realy got to me. This is absolutely beautiful, the portrayal of emotion in this picture is nicely captured.
