Ooh, I love this one.
And -16c? Damn, did you stop breathing while you took this picture?

Heh, I love that kind of cold. Breathing was fine but the fingers.. Hard to take pictures in gloves.. That was a bit painful.

Been there myself, there was one sunny winterday I went out and took pictures (and none of them are really _that_ good to make in here) and it probably was below -20c. It's crazy what you do when you have passion for photography.

It is . Who needs ten fingers anyway eh.
Where in Finland are you by the way?

Very south, city called Porvoo. About ~50km off from Helsinki. Kind of coastal city.

Have heard, never been. Do you like it there? I suspect it's a smaller town than Helsinki? Some people can't stand small towns..

It's kinda nice city - but there isn't much for young people. It's quite an tourist attraction place to be honest. Lived all my life here, and kinda looking options to move away. But who knows what happens.

Yea, can imagine that. The town I'm originally from doesn't have anything for young people either. Or for people in general. Nothing else to do here than drink and make babies.

Haha, well, that sounds like fun... I suppose. That is if you're into that. I guess the latter one could be left to practise stage in general. But everyone for their own.

Heh, yea, I'd rather not conform to the general habits here yet. Kids are nice but I'd like them to go home or somewhere else in the evening.

Indeed, considering that you lose all your own peace and time with kids... Sounds kinda.. not fun.

Apparently it never gets anywhere near -16 here, so no photo ops like this. In December it got to -3 and everyone was moaning about the coldest winter since the Ice Age; Chirstmas eve it was +10 x.x
I don't envy you your cold but this time, here's an exception! Beautiful work: did the cloud window close right away or did you have time to compose as you liked?

-3 is our crappy spring more or less.
And thank you. The clouds worked with me on this one. They kept moving but I had time to do my thing. I wish I had been a bit closer though.

Is there good skiing there in Estonia?

It has been for the past few days at least. It changes very fast here. One day it's -16C and lots of snow, the next it's some watery mess. Right now it's pretty decent winter. For me, the colder the better.
You like skiing?

Not if I can avoid it. Highschool pretty much ruined skiing for me. I love skating though. Wish we had more decent ice rinks.

We had to ski in p.e. classes every winter. Round and round and round and round the football field for 45 minutes. Sucked the fun out of skiing.
Skating.. Guess it depends who you compare me to . I'm pretty decent at it. I'd like to think.

I guess that would suck the life out of skiing indeed
Im sure you are decent at it

Heheh, I still suspect Sasha Cohen is a bit better at it than me. Though I haven't fallen through the ice yet.
And I'll have to try that trick. When no one's looking. My fragile ego can't handle the embarrassment.

Robtimus In reply to Undefined-Mari [2009-02-26 18:57:56 +0000 UTC]
Aww im sure you could pull off that trick hehe, i couldnt i can tell you that I would need an ambulance. I wouldnt worry about ego, no ones perfect...well except us, we are pretty close heheh
