I had never looked upon it as a glass. To me it represents a door or a portal. For some mysterious reason, here in NL all the lower-end homes have doors with a window in top of them, even where it doesn't make sense, like the toilet or shower room. Every single door in my flat has such a window. And since most people like to have a sense of privacy wherever they are, and certainly in the toilet and while taking a shower, all these windows are fitted with matted glass, the greenish bubbly kind. So the good question is: why on earth have a window in a door if it's going to have matted glass in it? Surely not just so you can see if the light's still on. But I think that it's done because the very shape of a window, even if you're going to put board or something else non-transparent in it, offers a sense of a connection with a world outside. So that is what this image suggests to me: a window into another world. And the door doesn't have to be opened for you to realize it's there. And of course, if you consume a sufficient amount of half empty (or half full) glasses of an appropriate liquid, you will also enter through a portal into another world

I really like these windows at the top of the doors, they look cute and a bit old-fashioned. I saw similar doors in old apartments here, I think I could make an interesting design for these windows, something like stained glass. It's a pity I do not have the skills to this technique, stained-glass windows always fascinated me
