This is like being a child, face down on the carpet in front of the telly, watching Crackerjack. Sadly, nothing more perverse than that.

I really liked this series myself. I did have a close relationship with the carpet indeed as a child, it had lots of greens and browns in it making it look like a landscape from the sky. So perhaps this is just a case of nostalgia after all.

Of course, you meant the series of pictures...there's certainly a lot of carpet going down there.

The presenter, Leslie Crowther got replaced by one called Don McClean. I was inconsolable. I may be hovering on the autism spectrum somewhere.

Listening to this. A tragic childhood.

Sorry, I'm feeling a bit negative this evening.. The day started out with morning fog, then we had afternoon fog, then evening fog, and now were entering night fog. This is a total mood disaster..

Today and yesterday don't really exist for me. I haven't embraced alcohol for a year 'til now and do not do so lightly. I hope for a mood change soon cos I can't be bothered with these games any longer. I despise my "art". Good night.

That's exactly how I feel about my "art" right now. Only I know that when the winds shift I will re-enter my normal state of slight mania, and can't be bothered with how I feel anymore. If you know what I mean.

Hmmm.. I keep losing the bit about the winds shifting. I become blind to that, even though reading that now reminds me. Everything becomes blocked. I'm pretty annoyed about this development, especially as I have no-one to blame. More lager.

Maybe it's in the air, or in the financial markets or wherever. Something to which all of us are exposed to some degree. I've notice a drop in activity among my watchees the past two weeks or so. November depression.

You should move somewhere above sea level, perhaps.

I live 80m above sea level, which as you know is close to living on Mt Everest by Dutch standards. Once upon a time, a long time ago, an Ice Age glacier pushed a big pile of rubble and debris southward in front of it. I live on top of that pile

I doubt that that's how other people perceive me. On the other hand, when under attack I am indeed in a position to meet my enemies with boiling oil!

I think I'm missing some of the irony in this video. I really hate the Beatles and always have, especially slick Rick Paulie, who in my opinion was only about 1/1000" more distant from Total And Absolute Slimeness than that other guy Cliff was.

Cliff! I know where you are coming from but for some reason I retain a childhood affection for said geezer even though I know I should hate him. Maybe I missed having a brother. The Beatles, well, I like them. Northern , working class and made it cos they had something or were the biggest bastards as Lennon said . I liked the Pleasers cos it was a bit of a losing bet to try and reinvent merseybeat in 1977 and I like losers. A bit. None of this stuff matters that much to me, though. It's just time killing.
