I've had pigeons breeding on my kitchen balcony and to observe them is really interesting, because they do really behave like a human family in many ways. In particular when the "kids" reach adolescence, then the son starts to constantly fight with his father, and the daughter with her mother. And the really amusing thing is that if you watch closely, you will find that it's actually the parent who starts the fight almost all the time. Just like in a human family

This is an interesting observation. I never noticed that, but I'm sure that birds and other animals are very similar to humans. One day I watched for the crows and sparrows, they really have very different habits and attitudes towards to each other. Ravens and crows are very aggressive.
