Haha, that must be the curse of the GIMP then, because it's quite a nice place It's near an elevation in the landscape covered in heather. Up there you have an unobstructed and, even more importantly, experience of the "sky dome". It's said that there are iron age burial mounds up there, although it's hard to tell which are the burial mounds and which are just mounds, I mean, natural ones. In any case the place has a "sacred" quality. If something is troubling you and you go up there, whatever is bothering you simply vanishes! A really cool type of nocturnal bird lives in that area during the summer:  ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9E%D… . They only come out after dark and they're like mysterious flying elves

You so beautifully described that place, it is probably interesting to walk there, among the trees that remember a lot from the past. Maybe something from the ancient artifacts was buried in the underworld, somewhere under the mounds, who knows 
I know the goatsucker scream, it really sounds mysterious and a little scary for those who hear it for the first time. This is the sound of a flying saucer
