Mahometanism itself is but a compound of such materials—an artful compound—for it unites Paganism, Judaism, and individual Mysticism, and Christianity, in one heterogenous scheme, captivating the votaries of each by some concession to to their previous opinions and their natural infirmities, all of which are to a degree indulged, provided they submit blindly to the authority of their founder.

Today this would be labeled hate speech I suppose. Although I could easily come up with a similar appraisal of Christianity, or any other delusion religion for that matter, which perhaps would make it right.
