so why did Clyde let them go the first time, if he knew the Doctor and people weren't there? D: he seems to know all about the situation, so why did he let poor Latix lead them(and himself) on?

Well, Clyde new the Clockwork automoton stopped recieving maitenence from the Institute staff, (and, therefore, doesn't work anymore) but he didn't know that everyone was gone completely or that the whole town was a disaster area. DA END
