i really enjoy doing these ~ will render some up some timeso to me, Iadlain is a human settlement hostile to strangers in a creepy/mysterious forest. so its probably poorly kept because the secluded location means bad infrastructure to carry around ressources. plus theres a bunch of magic vibes going on.
so for a design direction i take french, english and german country side architecture of 1600. its all very vertical to make it more hostile, aware. Also its very askew and decrepit, also making it darker, mysterious. theres alot of "evil plantlife" (aka vines, fungi, naked trees) showing how the town doesnt try to sharply seperate its civilization from the flora around.
bottom right one is Esthers shop yo

You have an incredible skill in designing environments and I'm always excited to see more from you! I love your attention in connecting Iadlain's location with these tight structures merged with wild plants. I do find that there is a bit of a spooky feeling with these buildings, and I would think that they are quite comfortable to live in! I really liked the bottom right building but I learned that it's already occupied. Can I have the one beside it for my other character You have a nice shop there Esther, and a neat tree. I wonder what the inside would be like. Charms galore~!

Hey thank you very much! yeah to me the description of iadlain was very spooky,mystic, secluded, hostile even. But im also seeingΒ flowery happy pics of iadlain, how do you imagine it?
i imagined that one to be a tavern actually

Ooh a tavern! Iadlain would have comfortable gathering places, I like that! I also thought there would flowers, like patches here and there, and anyone could have a small garden of flowers if they wanted to! Since I have seen the Count and his flowers/fruits in his hair ehehe Mystical and spooky-like buildings included, but you brought the environment to life, so much better than how I imagined it! I kept thinking of a dark halloween-like environment and I much prefer your fantasy spin on realistic architectures of the past. I really thought these sketches could be for an animation production or mmorpg design concepts! We're so lucky to have you share your ideas in shaping Alva to life

Oooooh~! Yesss I love the tall and precarious structure of these haha, I imagine most of the buildings are quite narrow like this also because of the lack of space and flat land in Iadlain, so that's perfect! The mysterious and creepy-foresty vibe is lovely too hehe, I'll be super excited if you do decide to render any of these!

Yes! Thanks alot! I'm leaning towards making Iadlain part of my portfolio actually, so you can expect me to go in some more details here and there, maybe an interior shot or a better environment shot.
Β If you're okay with that I would like to quote your descriptions of the city in it to show what I worked off of!
