So, I may or may not have been playing a gooooood deal of Call of Duty: Ghosts.Infinity Ward's answer to the popular Zombies mode in Treyarch's games has been the oddly RPG-esque Extinction mode. Basically, you and up to three other people have to annihilate an Alien infestation by arming a nuke and frankly running the hell away. I'm having a lot of fun with it. A bunch of people are unhappy with it due to it requiring much more -cough cough- skill with the game, knowing what does what to be successful. It's not something you'll be able to figure out in a few games, like Zombies.Β
However, the design of the Aliens themselves is what got to me. These guys are grey and yellowish/orangish/reddish? They glow. a lot. It's worse than the Helghast when it comes to training targets in the dark. (~SuperArrow better get that reference, else I'll be a bit let down.) Nonetheless, they all have mandibles, and are a completely organic race (much like my beloved Zerg. Maybe why I like them so much? Dunno.)
If I decide to draw more of these guys, I might do a bit more in depth analysis of their designs and such. Either way, the mode is fun, and I like the look of most of the aliens, though I wish there was just more than one map, and more than the 6 different types of aliens... four of them look eerily similar to each other, which is meh, but besides that, it's hectic and dangerous. I like it.
Done in 1 hour, 45 minutes with a Wacom Intuos4 Tablet pen, in Photoshop Elements 10.

I feel like they went for something a little similar to Killing Floor with how the whole "Class" thing went. Which is a good thing.

I don't mind it in the slightest, actually, it's a fun game mode, and it does feel Killing Floor-esque, though it more blatantly reminds of some other thing I've played... I can't remember the name of it... I believe it was turned into a custom map on Starcraft II though.

Either way, yeah, it's different from Zombies, which is good, because unless Treyarch understands that they don't NEED new things in the gameplay itself, instead they just need different maps to change it up a bit, then Zombies is going to get too out of hand and run itself into the ground. (It sort of already has via Origins but whatever)

Well the gameplay does need to change, though, subtlety, in a way that makes it still the zombies we KNEW, and loved. We didn't need to go from a mining town to giant steam punk robots. Die Rise was a good one, it was fresh, it had something that hadn't really been attempted before, and that was extreme verticality. Idk, they didn't need to change the whole formula with origins, it really sort of went downhill as a 'relaxed, fun game' after die rise, in my own honest opinion.

However, I feel Feral Instincts is a bit overpowered, for basically, when combined with being a medic, being triple health regen for a certain amount of time. Also having a Nine Round Revolver is always fun to boot.

I've been told the revolver isn't that great, though I'm sure it packs a fair amount of punch. I like the tank myself, extra health, combined with the armor support makes him incredibly impossible to kill.

I much prefer the medic, because then I have quadruple speed if I rank it up fully, THEN rank the pistol up once. The revolver can kill in two shots to the side towards a scout, can kill a scorpion within the whole nine, and haven't really been able to test it against much else.

See, I like leveling the pistol up to where I have two primaries. Of course, that's after I've got one hundred percent more HP along with a shit ton more armor. Throw in an IMS for good measure and you've a one man army.
