Love chrysalis armor, we need to see more of her and her changelings in armor. Would been nice to see chrysalis fight celestia or luna while in her armor, with celetsia in her flame form and luna in nightmare form. Often imagine chrysalis on par with the princesses in raw power. I like some fanfic of her fighting others. Anyways good job

Eh, I still don't like the soul-sucking headcanon. I mean, in the initial comics, it was mentioned that part of her (revised) plan was to drain Twilight's love and then have her drain her friendsβmore hinting at a sense of vampirism via emotional draining (and possible cocoon conversion?) than the soul eating of succubi. But, then again, I'm not much of a fan of the comics anyway. They kinda went through a few iterations that soured me on them.Β

"The Changelings claim that they as a species feed upon 'love' as a source of subsidence. Yet there is no empirical data from countless scientific and arcane studies to show that love exists in any sort of physical existence with bio-energetic properties; as far as it is concerned, there has not, and never had been, a directly or indirectly observed atom, molecule or particle of love, as there had never been any observed existence for anger, despair, joy, or any other emotions in any physical form capable of manipulating the environment, or being manipulated in turn (Mana Reviews, Yr 1001; Thauma-Physics, Yr 1005).
Love, like any other emotions, is an entirely neurobiological phenomena, a mental state that is organised by the lambic system, mediated by neural-impulses, neurochemicals and pheromones (Neurobio., Year 998; Ann. Current evidence and data attributed Love with the interaction of three major drives responsible for sex, attachment and partner preference, mediated by neurochemicals testosterone, estrogen, dopamine, oxytocin and vasopressin; in evolutionary psychology is important in facilitating sexual reproduction, enhancing group cohesion/interaction in social animals like ponies, and encouraging offspring care (Trottingham Bio., Yr 1003; Evo. So what does this suggest of the Changelings' actual appetite? Evidence from readings and studies with actual Changeling volunteers points to Changelings are actually 'Thauma-vores', or magic-eaters (Canterlot Sci., Yr 1005)
Equestrian science has been established in the last few centuries of research that all life in Equestria and the world, to varying extents, incorporates arcane energies as a major component of their metabolism and survival. Emotions have been shown in experiments a psychosomatic effect, passively or actively, to alter the thaumic energy state via the organisms' magic channeling and storage organs and organelles (Arc. The current prevailing model of Changeling feeding, as supported by data from Prof. Spellweaver et al.'s experiment (Canterlot Sci., Yr 1005) strongly suggests that Changelings, rather than feeding on love of their prey, feeds upon the innate magical energies of their prey, at high intensities and at specific wavelengths/state, biologically expressed only when their prey is experiencing love, for their metabolic needs. For comparison, consider how all plants utilize only a few out of all wavelengths of visible light for photosynthesis, reflecting for example the colour green that gives vegetation their distinctive coloration. If the Changelings so choose, in fact, they could feed on magic of their prey regardless of emotions, as Tirek and Queen Chrysalis had shown. Nevertheless, the Changelings show a preference on love-charged magic, in the same way Windigoes prefer hatred (Ecto. Sci., Yr 987; Trends. Arc. Sci. Yr 1004).
As as for the emotionless shell state Changeling feeding, Prof. Spellweaver et al and Dr. Grey Matter proposes that Changeling feeding process involves magical stimulation of neural systems of prey to induce a maximum yield of love-induced magic state, which would severely, perhaps permanently, desensitise the victim to emotions through over-stimulation, compounded by a state of Depletion Sickness, caused by the significant exhaustion of innate magic from the victims' bodies (Canterlot Sci., Yr 1005; Med. Eq., Yr 1005)..."

i really did not like that they somehow used the feeding as a weapon in that comic. makes no sense at all.
the comic was mostly a mixed bag for me. i liked looking at the trouble chrysalis caused, but their idea for an origin story is...... beyond iffy and veyr limiting.

Excelent! This is without doubt one of the best pics of Chrysallis that I have seen until now. And in my oppinion Chrysalis Β is by far the best villain of the show: a great bakground history, a delicious personality, a machiavellian intelligence, and queen of the black humour with an army of loyal warriors at her service. Long live the Swarm!!!!
