Ah, the whole "Smart people wear glasses" trope ( which is partly true ). Makes me think of Brainy Smurf. So, Brainy Hooves?

Smart people wear glasses because they spend hours a day straining their eyes to read books without resting and looking up. This prevents the eye muscles that control your focus from relaxing, which is how they let you see further distances, so you become short sighted. Just thought I would give the scientific reason for the trope. XD

I haven't read this issue yet (haven't even read issue 1 yet, and I am up to date on owning every issue (I know, I need to read the comics D: )), but I don't see why this would make someone sad. Personally, just another Derpy to love. :3
