“(y/n), please stay still…” your friend Ruby asked you again, for what seemed like the millionth time in the last hour. “I don’t wanna though!” you complained, causing your friend to sigh. You see, Ruby, with his fabulous dress making skills asked you to help him make a dress, and you agreed to it, mainly because you had nothing to do today, so you and (favorite pokemon) quickly walked to your friend’s house only to have a beautiful (favorite color) mini dress shoved in your face by a very hyperactive Ruby.
At first you assumed he’d just had too much coffee, but he’s been like this all day, and now you've been stood ‘still’ for around an hour now and you were starting to get tired.
“Ruby? Are you finished yet?” you questioned the male who was currently sewing something onto the dress, “Just a moment” he quickly replied, “okay, done”.
"Finally!" You happily smiled, walking over to the tri-mirror in the corner of the room and staring at your reflection; Ruby had sewn a beautiful diamanté sash around the waist of the dress and added a delicate laced trim around the neck line. Your eyes widened as you stared at his creation and marveled at its beauty, you were so captivated you forgot that Ruby was still in the room with you.
"So you like it?" your friend questioned, you jumped slightly, gathering your senses and turning around, giving him a warm smile. "It’s absolutely beautiful...but...who's it for?" You turned back to the mirror, staring at the dress, knowing that it probably wasn't made for you, but unbeknownst to you, Ruby stood behind you with heat rising in his cheeks. "I-it’s for you of course..." he shyly stuttered, you turned to him shocked "really?!" He nodded. Squealing in delight you flung your arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug, "thank you so much Ruby!" Ruby's face was now as red as a flareon due to the sudden contact. "A-anything for you (y/n)" you pulled away from the hug slightly and looked at his face, "why are you so red all of a sudden? Is it too hot in here? Are you coming down with a temperature? You're as red as Flannery's hair! Do you have a fever? Need me to take you to the pokemon centre? Or should I ask your dad to help, maybe he knows he's a-" Your rant was cut short as a pair of lips met your own, your eyes widened as you realised they were Ruby's lips, you felt the young male begin to pull back.
"(Y-y/n) I erm- I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over me! You just looked so cute while you were ranting and-"
The tables had turned, and this time, you were the one to silence him with your lips, firmly pressed onto his, you wrapped your arms around his neck as you felt his hands place themselves on your waist.
You pulled back smiling, "Shut up Ruby" he grinned. "Only if I can kiss you again" "go ahead."

Who would have thought doing a little favour for someone would lead to this?
