I haven't worked out how to post it on DA, but over on tumblr (where the comic started), I have a post explaining that the link between the brothers and their blasters is one-way--as their attacks, the blasters get all the energy they need and direction from the brothers, but the brothers don't receive anything from the blasters (except maybe a ride XD ). So there's no need to worry about any injuries to a blaster causing harm to their summoner--but there's other ways they can have negative effects... =u=;

Yep--Sans' blaster was the only one on the attack, so it had all their focus... Papyrus' blaster may be injured, but that doesn't mean it's out of the fight =u=;;
[[and the blasters are meant to have a mix of animal behaviors! it's a little hard to get across because most people are more familiar with dogs, and some behaviors are widespread (go look up animals chasing laser pointers--it's not just a cat thing!), but papyrus' blaster moves a lot more like a bird, and sans' tends to lounge around like a big crocodile ^^ ]]
