No G died after finishing the core he fell into the magma around the core and was shaterd thru time and space being lost forever lol
It kinda did a reset so only a few people remember like :flowey, sans, wierd monster kid, the guy holding a piece of G and 1 more dude
And on rare acasion gaster can appear (only whith a fun number) in story he gets to come back to this world and only people who have the powers to remember him can see the door to the room but becuse they can't reset only frisk entered the room hope this helps

Yes he could have died like that but all I'm trying to say is that sans has nothing to do whith it also the machine in the lab sans has is not something that could have done it I mean the world kinda reset becuse no one was remembering him / after flowey reseting a lot all of the others forgot about him
