Can you say "hour and a half in Photoshop"? I knew you could.

Ever since I found out was on DeviantArt, I've had a craving to draw something related to Lilo and Stitch, the best animated Disney movie of the past ten years. (That's not just my opinion; it's pretty much fact, too.) And y'know, given the themes of the movie, an underwater scene seemed too good to pass up. But to match the lush watercolor-y look of the film, I knew I wanted to push my coloring skills further than they've ever gone before.

So, armed with about six issues' worth of Lilo and Stitch comics from the 2002 volume of Disney Adventures for reference, I agonized over this for over two hours overall - the longest I've spent on a drawing in a long time - and I'm quite pleased with the result! I know it's not as good as Mr. Sanders himself would have done it, but for a fan-made effort, I think it's pretty darn nice!

EDIT: Went back and added a bit more shading and fixed a few coloring goofs. I can still see some areas for improvement, though, so this probably won't be the last time that I'll tinker with this.
