Description
I think I've really hit my stride with this Disney Trash the Dress series. Starting with the drawing I did for Snow White, I began incorporating elements from the girls' movies into each concept. For Aurora, it wasn't easy, because she spends a significant chunk of her movie unconscious. I didn't want to draw her sleeping underwater 'cause that might look like she'd drowned or something, but I found a very nice reference photo of a model reclining in shallow water with her face only half-submerged, and I used that as a jumping-off point. And that turned into an exercise in using the water line to follow the three-dimensional contours of the human face, which I think turned out pretty nice.Related content

Nice work. You should submit this to the Disney Fusion group.
And here's another suggestion-Why not draw this again in a more realistic fashion?

This has kind of an "Ophelia" vibe to it.

I agree. The water following the the shape of her face really gives it depth. I salute you, sir.
