I saw the picture somewhere on the Internet and was all like 'Oh my God, how beautiful, where is that statue, how can I find it?' Unfortunately I skipped the visit to Basilica Guadalupe during my stay in Mexico, thinking there is nothing of interest there. I was gravely mistaken. So thanks again for the photo.

Lovely sculpture. People seem to see angels as these insipid little tidbits of sugar but really.... they are very different and much more powerful.

I have to say that my favourite thing about Mexico was the neat little markets that were all over the place. They were all so colourful and fun looking! Anyways, your photo is much nicer in terms of shading. I messed with mine a little too much and screwed over the background, but yours is quite nice with the clouds behind it.

I enjoyed that aspect of Mexico as well, but I also visited Teotihuacan while there, and (seeing as I was this <-> close to studying archaeology), I was overjoyed with the Pyramids and other ruins. Oh and I also visited Puerta Vallerta where I went ATV-ing and swinging in the jungle canopies which were both amazing... Oh and nothing can beat the backyard party we had in a dirt town in Vera Cruz where my friend was born, they sure know how to throw a party! The architecture in Mexico City was fantastic, and the Museum of Anthropology completely blew me away... I guess I can't pick one thing I liked most about Mexico
