I'm on a roll, mates! I decided to try yet another underwater pic, this time at the bottom. I looked at a couple of pictures of the sea floor, but mostly this came from my own imagination. And I listened to "Under the Sea" and some underwater sound effects while I worked.Unless you're at the shallow part of the ocean, I doubt the light could really reach that far. Still, it looks pretty good to me.
I guess this could also pass off as a lake. Whichever way you prefer to look at it.

I saw the movie once in junior high, and recently I purchased a few of the songs for my Zune.
Aside from "If I Were a Rich Man," I also admire "Matchmaker, Matchmaker" and "Sunrise, Sunset." Extremely well done, and extremely catchy.

I definitely did that cliff you see off to the side by myself. I threw some colors together and used the smudge tool. And I did the mist myself, too. I increased the transparency of the brushes, and later I used the Gaussian blur.

I know you are. And I'm sorry if I sounded rude. I really do appreciate the help. I was only saying that you encouraged me to try brushes on the other picture. Well, I'm not, as of yet, very good with nature. That's why I'm using these brushes for right now, to get a feel of how it should look.
With luck, the day will come when I know how to do it myself.

Well, really the best way to learn to do nature is to study it in reality, or to learn painting techniques. If you have a sketchbook, use it to record scribbles of nature that you see around you. Check out books from the library or look up tutorials here on deviantart that will teach you about color theory. That sort of thing.

And while I have a pretty good idea of how nature looks, drawing it on paper is quite another matter. I still need practice.
