The moving picture that not only heralded Malachi Windwillow's return to acting but marked the beginning of an even greater success than he had before. Both he and his career were starting anew, and long after he retires, this is what he's remembered for best. That's fine with him, since he'd rather be remembered for this than for 500 Shades of Fur.

In this one, his character is a thousand times more likable, inspiring hope in a time of serious trouble and proving crucial in the end of an endless winter while making winter itself beautiful once again. He's basically a more confident Tumnus with the flair of Gene Kelly.

Some viewers couldn't believe this was the same actor from 500 Shades and a few were rather disappointed that he was no longer that playful pervert. But most found this a delightful change of scenery and the reviews for the entire picture were much more positive. Even those who didn't particularly love it still admitted it beat 500 Shades by a long shot, though that kind of went without saying.

And yes, Malachi wore glasses. They just made him take them off for the cameras, and his eyesight by itself wasn't too bad.

This was also the first moving picture in which Joanna joined him. She was a decent actress herself and they would be married less than a year after the big premiere. Her character was Malachi's character's love interest, so they had fantastic chemistry together on-camera and weren't entirely acting during those tender, romantic scenes.

During their celebration of the picture's success, he pulled her aside and summoned the courage to pop the question. He still didn't feel entirely worthy of her, given his shady past and he was working just as hard on forgiving himself as on putting his life back together, if not harder. But she had no trouble saying yes, and her mother and his grandfather granted their blessing wholeheartedly.

It was winter at that time, snow was already falling all around the young fauns, but neither of them could have felt any cozier.
