Twilight was called by Fluttershy about some strange magic near the Everfree Forest. She goes there and when she did, that's when she knows what her friend meant by "strange magic".
Twilight walks up to the strange magic trying to get a closer look to see anything about it. As she got closer, the strange magic reveals itself as a tiny purple unicorn baby. Twilight had no idea what was that baby doing out there so she took it back to Canterlot and called her friends to discuss what to do with the baby.
As they talk about what to do with the baby, they noticed the strange magic the baby had making it hard for them to find out what to do with her. After a few minutes of not knowing what to do, Twilight, who understands the most about magic, decides to take care of the baby herself leaving the others in doubt about it. Thinking she could do it, she's convinces everyone else that everything will be fine.
