I dont like having a lot of the same figure reused over and over, which is why I have the specific UW and CW sets I have. I also didn't like the CW Defensor but thought Guardia was an awesome looking set.

I don't know. I've just never cared much for Defensor. He's my least favorite combiner so if I was going to own him, which i needed to in order to complete the combiner collection, I wanted one that actually looks really cool. CW version just didn't look good to me at all and its almost all figures I either already had or knew I'd have soon for other combiners like Bruticus and Menasor. I wanted as few reused molds as possible.

Probably the baby blue and white main colors and it being public service and rescue vehicles that makes him the least interesting. Its not very menacing or tough really, especially compared to war vehicles, jets, monsters, giant predatory animals, or futuristic attack vehicles. The CW addition of Rook was a nice improvement on that and made a lot more sense scale-wise than a motorcycle, but still didn't quite cut the mustard for me.

By that regard, him being made of rescue vehicles is not unlike say, Devastator being made of construction vehicles, or Menasor being made of a truck and 4 cars.

Nah the color scheme as I mentioned is a big part of it too, but sports cars that in the cartoon had rocket boosters for jumping and were nearly invincible in alt modes just to defeat the Autobots was really cool, and a team of six sentient construction vehicles is fairly menacing in my opinion.

Yeah he's real nice. The UW version anyway. Hasbro US version was just way too much of a cop out load of reused parts barely even retooled.
My only issue with my Computron is he tends to not want to stand well in a lot of pretty basic poses. Kind of a balancing act.
They are all excellent individual figures.

I've that that UW Computron, too. The only one that feels lackluster to me is Lightspeed. I don't like how baggy his lower legs are, his poor head placement, or the unappealing hollow back kibble. What are your thoughts on LS?

Yeah, I think I might have to invest in the Hasbro LS and some Reprolabels. The G1-homagey guns for Lightspeed are cool, though.
