I just saw this movie tonight and LOVED it.Had to go buy a couple of the figures.
Of course I saw lots of need for improvement. Hopefully I pulled it off.
I gave Neytiri a new top and had to sculpt her a new boob too because I ruined her crappy boob in the process of cutting away the inaccurate and more censored top she had.
I also lowered her loincloth so her belly button was more visible. Lots of painting after that. Full body paint jobs on them both, which was a pain because they are really small figures.
Cut away some of the back of their knees to improve posability.
They both had white and black eyes and Jake had no eyebrows. They both needed some pink in their lips and nose tips too. I used 2 shades of metallic blue for their skin to make a shiny sweaty look.

Good paintjob! They do look much better now. I own them too but am too lazy to re-paint them. I put them in a miniature tree and they look quite content and *realistic* in there.

damn. much better now. those figures are failure if they dont go to your hand.
i am dissapointed with the ction figure line. i just wish i know how to attach a sculpted head to a random action figure body.

A lot of figures have ball joint necks. You could probably drill a hole in one of your sculpted heads and pop it on a figure body.

Sorry for interrupting but did you ever consider customizing a ball jointed doll to your liking? I bought one from Obitsu (about the size of a barbie doll) and turned it into a special character. Extremely poseable as you can see here [link]

i honestly never tried customizing. but i have the tools to costumize, check out jinsaotomesdangeroustoys.com
he does a lot of custom action figure and tutorials. i have no experience in customizing those action figures, i only do research on it

These are on Ebay now. If they do well I will do a Colonel and his mech.

I've seen it twice. I got the Jake figure you have here. I think the only thing I may fix is the lack of yellow eyes. I also plan to get Neytiri, and fix her eyes.

I didn't like how the toys have teal stripes and white eyes, plus Neytiri's top is too thick. It was just a few feathers in the movie. Her hair looks bland without adding the brown beads too. Just my opinion.

Yes I have and they look a bit better but I haven't seen them out yet. I'll buy and customize them when I do find them though.
