UPDATED PIC- stripped much of the paint and went for a brighter but more cartoony look. Much has been repainted.I don't think I can sell this guy.
He looks too good with my other Classics and Universe Transformers. The size is just right and he's not as chunky as the City Commander toy.
I used a Universe Onslaught as the base figure then took parts from 6 other transformers and did lots of cutting, sculpting, gluing, and painting.
I also sanded down the areas that rub during transformation and sprayed him with 2 coats of protective spray.
The goal was to make a Universe/Classics Ultra Magnus that screamed G1.
His vehicle mode is more like Animated though so maybe he would pass more as a Cybertronian Magnus. I will post alt mode pics later.

Well my idea was using a Cybertron Defense Hot Shot for the base, but Β modifying it so that the vehicle mode was an 8x8 vehicle instead of a 4x4, Β and maybe find a bigger body Β to put the limbs on while keeping the chest plate. (I know it's a bit vague and basic, but I'm digging this up from way back.

Oh he sold a LOooong time ago. Sadly, the asshole buyer sent a message saying he loved it but it was missing a shoulder rocket. I told him I was sorry and had the rocket- would send it to him immediately, then saw that he left me a neutral feedback saying it was missing a part.
Needless to say, I didn't send the part after that. Only less than great feedback i ever got for a custom. Shame cus that one was really cool too.
