Description
My Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime custom repaint.
This figure is so busy that it might be hard to tell what all I did but hours of work went into this.
I added the light gold rings on his knee, ankle, and elbow joints. Blue parts on his biceps, rib area, feet, and between the gold rings on his elbows. Many other gold details too such as his finger joints, the circular things on his belly, and the hydraulic looking doodads on his inner shoulders. I made most of the gray parts silver with a black inkwask to give it the worn look. I removed and spray painted as much of the silver as I could, like his feet and the fuel tanks on his back, but has to hand paint the rest.
Also added silver on his swords, though the new paint I'm using comes out a bit streaky unfortunately.
I detailed every tiny light on his truck grill (not shown here), chest (behind the visor plates), and the ones on his stomach area.
Added silver and gold details to his head to complete the movie accuracy, and painted in his tiny blue eyeballs the same color as all of the other tiny lights.
I also painted the red section under his head and between his chest sections silver.
This is about as movie accurate as I can make him.
ROTF Optimus might just be my favorite Transformer figure ever.
