What do you think of the ending?

Hm, I think I was satisfied with it. I was a little surprised about widdle tiny Luna and I'm not sure the new leadership will necessarily work out^^'

I think I was satisfied too. Sad about almost 99% of everypony died, but ... maybe it's fixable somehow. Luna is very weak after the darkness left her, give her some time and she will be beautiful.
The ending is pretty good as it leaves questions unanswered, which gives the readers a chance to think of their own version of the ending.Β
This is mine: Twi and Dash help others organize a temporary government and clean up the mess. The moon stays on the sky permanently- there is now no night and "day"- eternal night.Β
Luna is travelling with Dark Dash, rests and thinks of a way to fix everything.Β
In the end Twi and Dash find a way to get home and they are teleported where Twi was originally planned to teleport them in the first place. And only a second passed in their world.Β
Back in the dark world, Luna is now the leader and she transforms everyone in to Bat Ponies, so they can live happily during the night. And she thinks about how to ressurect everyone else.

By the way, the whole Trixie disabling Unicorns reminded me of a moment in Metal Gear Solid 4 game, where the main villain took control of the nanomachine system that controlled the vehicle and weapon access and human emotions. And when he was cornered by 100+ soldiers he disabled their weapons, vehicles and the emotion control. The flow of emotions collected through the battles disoriented the soldiers and the bad guy's 6 guards easily defeated them. :/

aww, I don't own a console to play MGS <.< I missed out on most of it, thus :\
The EMPish-spell was quite an interesting idea.. though thinking back, I was surprised how many civilian unicorns actually were capable of combat magic o_O Then again, they had month to train that as self defense.
By the way - Twilight randomly looting fancy stuff and baseball-batting Changelings as stress relief as a break from her main mission to save the Equestria is.. ahaha

Every weapon that was added to the system was modified with a device that allowed it to be used by the owner only. But the bad guy found a way to hack it.
Through the game you collect a big collection of guns. Most of them are locked by the system, so you have to pay to a guy who will unlock them for you.Β
And villain's guards are using FN P90. One mag holds 50 armor-piercing rounds.Β
They still fired for quite a long time though. ))
