SOOOO, I have always wanted a foxfan and I noticed that the group was holding a competition and it was based on ideas and creativity sooo I thought "what could I do that allows for some cool ideas that none one has done yet" and I though "ahh Count of Monte Cristo!" Then I looked at the date it was ending. 29th. 2 days left. well. So this is what I have spent the last 2 days doing.

I think its safe to presume that not all of you have read the book or can figure out whos who on my poster thing so here is an indepth explaination. (SPOILERS):

Kage casted as Dantès

So in the book Dantes is our main character who is wrongly accused of a crime by people who only care about themselves and is locked up.
When he escapes he uses the knowledge given to him by another prisioner to become the count of the island and seeks revenge on those who got him locked up.
I chose Kage as Dantes as when he becomes count Dantes is very 2 faced, being kind to some but ruining the lives of others. As Kage is themed around yin and yang, I decided that he symbolised the good and evil side of dantes well visually.
In the poster he is a puppeteer as when dantes was getting his revenge the people who he was attacking never knew that it was him who was doing it. You could say he suitably control their lives, much like a puppeteer.
He is also split down the middle, half being him in prison, half being him outside of prison, and both sides wanting vengeance.

And super faintly in the background there is the prision he was put into. Trust me. Its there.

Amiable casted as Mondego

Mondego was one of the men who wanted Dantes locked up. Inparticular, he wanted him locked up because he fancied Dantes partner Mercédès. When Dantes is locked up she still refuses to marry him so he claims Dantes has died and basically nags her into marrying him.
I chose Amiable as she represents love, Mondego's key motive for what he does. Also, when I looked up character summaries both had a common word through them:"passion".
In the picture I chose him to be circling Mercedes as I imagine him being protective and hiding her from the truth of dantes being alive (more literally in the poster he is hiding the giant looming dantes from her gaze)

Gin casted as Danglars

In the book Danglars is deeply jealous of Dantes because dantes is better than him in everything. He was the one to bring up the idea of faking a crime in his name and afterwards became a well of banker. Dantes got his revenge on him by (SPOILER) slowing robbing him of his money and exposing his frauds. He ends out losing all the money he gained while dantes was in prison and more.
I chose Gin because in musicals he is depicted as a pirate and rightly so, as his obsession with money and the lengths he went to get it made him as good as a pirate, both in act and desire.
In the picture Gin is acting out the revenge from dantes to Danglars. (SPOILER) He is looking down at the nothing he has as dantes drags him by strings away from the safety of land he came from.

Fleur-de-lys casted as Villefort

In the book Villefort has the most elaborate backstory (partly why I chose Fleur as she is also very elaborate). He is only out for his own gain and ignored evidence to support dantes innocences. He desieved those around him to obtain power and (SPOILER) even tried to kill his son to hide his affair.Dantes had a really complicated revenge on him that would expose all that Villefort tried to cover up while also being (in my personal opinion) super clever and cheekySPOILER) saving Villeforts child and making it sentence his dad to death
I think the Fleur fits Villefort's character as she is neutral, like Villefort - who didn't have anything against dantes but rather was just doing it to ensure his power-, and plays with people to their expense.
In the picture she is being dragged into the sea and darkness by dantes, screaming, which is supposed to sybolised (SPOILER) the fact that he was sentenced to death.

Miaka casted as Mercédès

I do have to say, I struggled when it came to Mercedes. Most of what I know of her character is from the musical and when I went to the wiki the things it mentioned were the fact that she (SPOILER) marries Mondego and has lovely black hair and eyes like a gazelle. It also sums up he interactions with dantes however they mainly were focused around her loyal love to him.
Miaka I think suits Mercedes because not only does she fit the visual description of mercedes, but she is also based around roses, which is a symbol of love, which is what motivates her to keep loyal to dantes through out the entire story.
On the poster thing she is cowering over, sad, because (SPOILER) she is told that Dantes is dead. She is also the only one that Dantes doesn't get big vengeance on which is why she is in the center of the land, safe from the water.

Yep I'm sure that you needed this in your notifications but oh well. It now nearly midnight. This is what happens when you try so hard to do something with lots of meaning in a stupidly short amount of time. 2 days thou. 2 DAYS.
