To say that Venia had been in denial about the murders would be somewhat accurate.

The first time the danger touch her world was in a subtle way. The serval shouldn't have missed the signs, but she did.

Chimaera, the young cub of the household with more manners most adults, had tucked himself away - for how long she didn't know. She didn't expect him to disclose much; emotions were messy, specially when raw. However, he suprised her. Neither were that vocal, but she got the idea.

The worst was creeping in.

She debated on whether to tell the others; to let them know. Venia decided against it. If Chimaera wanted to tell them, he would.
She - on the other paw - would take a more... personal investigation into the matter.

Something was off, and she would find out what.
