Description This ATC is a mixed media watercolor and acrylics painting, into which I incorporated the following crafts materials:
- structure paste for the rocks
- transparent paste for the water
- golden nail studs
- golden paint
- golden 3D sticker (the steering wheel)

Do you know the myth of Loreley? It's a German folk tale. On the river rhine, she sits on top of a cliff and combs her hair with a golden comb, while down below, boatmen are dying... I always wanted to paint a picture of this myth!

This looks beautiful...but the small size just doesn't do it justice! Also it is a shame from a scan one can't pick out the craft materials as clearly as one would if seen in person, but I understand you can't really help that

Thank you - I'm glad you like the picture. The original painting is small like that (ATC size - 6,4x8,9 cm) so I didn't want to upload a bigger scan version. Of course, the original glitters and shimmers so it looks a lot better, but unfortunately... Well, you understand the scanner problem. ^^

I see, that is a shame. It would be lovely to see it up close. What does ATC stand for btw?

ATC means artist trading cards. They are miniature paintings which are then swapped with other artists. I collect them, so I make a lot of these small cards as well.

Ohhhh. Didn't know there was such a thing but sounds cool. Is it popular here on DA?

Yes, if you search for ATC or ACEO you'll find lots of results - small pictures of 2,5x3,5 inch (6,4x8,9cm). I haven't swapped with another DA member yet, though. (Maybe in the future ^^) There are some online communities exclusively devoted to these cards.
