Light Yagami is bored....We caught a glimpse of that at the begging... It was boring... Wasn't as much fun as it was when he had the Death Note...
We experienced an innocent Light without the Death Note during the investigation at that boring company... Way boring... nothing fun....
Imagine If Ryuk was never bored... Then he wouldn't have dropped his Note Book....then Light would never have picked it up. What if Ryuk did drop the Note but Light wasn't bored to notice it fall? What if Light never looked out the window day dreaming in class?
Would the world be better off that way? Or would the crimminal activities grow more?
Will L just live on normally? Not not knowing the existance of shinigamis?
What about the successors? Would Mello live to challenge Near another day? Will Matt live a bit longer to complete the boss level?
Think about it......
Light without a Death Note... not fun to watch at all.
