Basically, Kuraima is the body-guard of Clarice (although the samurai usually acts more as a personal servant than anything else...). Very loyal and obsessively obedient, he's a marionette to his master's point of view, a mindless warrior who does everything she tells him to do. He doesn't dislike his job, though, once he enjoys Clarice's company pretty much...

Besides, he really doesn't know any other life.

Sorry, I can't draw kimonos and/or Japanese outfits for the life of me. I tried to make an interesting design, but after the fifth or sixth attempt I went all "whatever go for the cliché". Argh.
