And he's a totally NEW character.
Basically, Kuraima is the body-guard of Clarice (although the samurai usually acts more as a personal servant than anything else...). Very loyal and obsessively obedient, he's a marionette to his master's point of view, a mindless warrior who does everything she tells him to do. He doesn't dislike his job, though, once he enjoys Clarice's company pretty much...
Besides, he really doesn't know any other life.
Name: Manukan Kuraima
Age: around 20

Weight: 120 lbs
Weapon: common sword.
Likes: Clarice, green tea.
Dislikes: not being entirely covered up and, as a result, fire.

yes, that is part of the joke. he was based in almost every way off of climber, shown in his name "Manukan Kuraima", the info that he is Clarice's bodyguard, that he hates fire, etc.

I don't know too much about Clarice. In Endzone's final battle, the flashback showed her being somewhat abusive to Climber and this rendition of her makes her out to be kind of a bitch. Is the SDL Clarice an exact translation of the one in Climber's world/CoN like Kuraima is of Climber? Or is she the same "person" but "different"? Also, When can are you going to tell the story of Climber?

PS. I just got done viewing your Endzone stuff and I looked at Kuraima. (Note that I looked at Kuraima a while ago as well as watched the animation of his fight) However, I JUST realized before I clicked on the thumbnail to veiw him better that Kuraima is "Engrish" for Climber!

Ahehehe, you're good. You got me and my friend confused for a moment. When I first saw his face, it reminded me of Climber. And she told me all of his name, we sounded it out, and we got Mannequin Climber. But then I searched in a translating site and got the same! o3o
